About: Newham General Hospital

Was told to come here by a paramedic via the phone, and once we was seen by a nurse at a and e we got bombarded with questions about why we came here and why we didn’t go to a local hospital. Furthermore even after saying a paramedic had referred us here she continuously blamed us as if it we had known it was better to go to a local hospital. I understand her point about the hospital having records for the patient however we’ve come down to solve a problem but yet feels like we’ve just disturbed them and added on a huge weight onto their shoulders.

Another colleague was very dismissive when it came to waiting. Asked a simple question and instead of being nice about they continued to walk off and said to wait. No sympathy whatsoever and just wanted a slight update. I approached nicely but didn’t feel it was reciprocated as it should’ve been by nhs staff.
