"Everything excellent on Female Medical"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Female Medical

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Everything has been excellent on the Female Medical Ward. The staff have all been excellent - I have absolutely no complaints in that regard. They really do anything they can to sort you out - night or day. They always ensure they explain things well to me and they have a very good attitude - excellent in fact. I would like to particularly mention Orla who has been excellent. It is hard to pick anyone out in particular as everyone is so very well-mannered and courteous.

The ward has been 100% clean and incredibly comfy. The cleaner on during the week was absolutely excellent - she cleaned everywhere high and low on the ward. An absolutely lovely girl. The food in my experience has been quite bad - it is very bland and has no taste at all to it. The menu also repeats everyday which isn't great. The tea could also be better.

The only issue I have noticed whilst on the ward is that the doors can be incredibly squeaky - especially the bathroom one. This is especially terrible at night when it wakens people up. You also don't get the same level of toilet cleaning at night, but that is understandable.

Thank you for your kind comments about the cleanliness and the domestic assistant on the ward, I am sorry that you have found the food bland and repetitive, I will share your comments with the relevant teams.
