My experience on the Acute Respiratory unit was that staff don't communicate with each other, departments don't communicate with each other, they don't communicate with relatives, and if your relative ever has the misfortune of being admitted there, expect the discharge process to be beyond shambolic repeatedly.
Policies and procedures do not appear to be followed and NHS Constitution breached, records did not seem to be being kept.
There are some great individuals in the department but the management of the ward seemed dangerous and unsafe.
"Poor communication and management"
