"Wonderful staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Acute Receiving Unit (Units 1-5) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Elderly Medicine (Wards 51, 52, 54,55, 57, 8a & 2a) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

In July my brother was taken to the QEUH emergency department in Glasgow. The 2 female ambulance staff were amazing! They were caring, thoughtful and very professional in the way they provided care to my brother.

The ED staff were absolutely wonderful- especially Dr Hamish and Graeme, RN.

After being admitted to ARU4 my brother continued to receive excellent care, especially from Dr Brown, Dr Duncan, and Andrea, Charge RN.
After then being admitted to Ward 8A my brother was again provided excellent care, and especially from Chris, RN, Dr Christy, and Emma , OT.
He was then discharged home after 6 days with great follow up care organized by Dr Christy and Emma, OT.

We wish to thank all the healthcare staff that provided care to our brother, including the cleaning, nurses aides, transportation and food staff, and apologize for any staff we missed or any misspelled names!!

We cannot thank you all enough 💕💕💕💕😊

Dear Finlay23,

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit such a lovely care opinion. I hope your brother is continuing to feel better now he is back home. I will pass on your kind comments to Dr Hamish and Nurse Graeme in the Emergency Department and have forwarded your Care Opinion to the other departments.

with kind regards,

Karen

Dear Finlay23

Thank you for sharing your story.

It must have been a very worrying time for you all and it is kind of you to take the time to thank all the staff involved.

If you would like me to pass your thanks on to the ambulance crew may I ask that you contact our Patient experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion name, your brother's name and the address and date we attended.

I do hope your brother is recovering well.

Kindest regards

David
