I broke my ankle recently & had a trimalleolar fracture. I attended RAH in Paisley. The 1st nurse I spoke to was called Jacqui, she was so lovely, really friendly, professional & informative. She explained everything really well & made me comfortable as I waited to be admitted to a ward.
I waited in the trauma assessment unit where everyone was extremely friendly, Tony popped me a back slab on until I could be taken to a ward. A few hours past & I was transferred to ward 21. Everything was explained to me by Lindsey who was in charge of the ward my 1st night. I felt extremely grateful for her being there explaining what was going to happen the next day.
The next morning I was visited by Lisa the anaesthetist who explained what would happen & her role in my operation. I was then visited by Ros one of the Orthopaedic doctors who explained my operation asking if I understood everything.
Everything went well with my op & a few hours later I was back in the ward.
I was looked after by so many people in my 2-night stay at RAH I just couldn't name them all. The staff are so busy but always gave you the time you needed. My experience was 2nd to none & every person deserves a medal π
Thank you to everyone, especially to Jacqui for making the start of my experience flawless & the staff on ward 21 for all their hard-work. Xx
