"Needs to be more communication from doctors"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Acute Medical Unit (AMU) Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came in on the 3d of August, I was admitted through the ED where is spent 9 hours before getting a bed in AMU. The nurses are very good and very helpful. Communication is okay, the nurses try their best but I think there needs to be more communication from doctors. Over the weekend it was difficult as I seen 3 different doctors in 3 days. The facilities are good enough for a hospital. The beds need improved as they're not very comfy at all, also I am just very bored, I think the ward could maybe do something to keep the patients minds busy. I think a TV room would be great.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience in AMU. I am glad to hear that overall your experience with the nursing staff was positive and you felt they were helpful during your stay. I am sorry to hear the communication with the doctors wasn’t the best, and I will pass on your feedback as we are always looking to improve. Wishing you all the best.
