I saw a doctor in August at Fredrick street health village. I feel they did a very poor investigation of my health. I have ongoing IBD issues and have been having constant diarrhoea with blood and mucus for a week now with going to the toilet 12-15 times a day with a huge amount of pain in my stomach. Alongside this I have been experiencing really low energy with hot flushes to what seem like blackouts.
The doctor only examined my left side of the stomach and told me no outcome but said it could be kidney stones which I assured them it wasn’t as I had a recent check for them. I assured them that notes and letters from GI indicated that I have a high level of inflammation in my bowel - they appeared not to believe that.
They offered to give me meds for vomiting which was the least of my worries so I refused and asked if perhaps they could refer me to a specialist as I am an outpatient of my previous consultant. They refused.
I was advised to contact my GP on Monday and they didn't advise what the potential risks were. Eventually they got a hold of GI who said to contact the surgeons. They then came back to chat to me while playing on thier phone whilst speaking to me.
The doctor was willing to just let me go home without giving me anything or helping at all.
