When i first arrived at Dame Carol Black I was incredibly anxious about the situation I was walking into. I blew over upon entering and had to spend my first night in isolation. however it became apparent immediately that I was going to be very well looked after.

Staff literally could not do enough to help me settle in. Once i was able to join the community my anxiety eased pretty quickly which I put down to the commitment of care from all parties both staff and fellow residents. From the Dr's and nurses to all the support staff I was made to feel comfortable and at ease. Nothing was too much trouble!

The support network you get from these people is priceless! Then theres the food. We know that coming off a substance whichever your poison is your body is generally in poor health and the chef here is absolutely top notch! Varied menu, superb quality which balanced nutrition. Seriously people its all good stuff.

My transformation in just two weeks has been nothing short of mind blowing. Confidence, self belief, self worth and I owe it all to the wonderful staff at Dame Carol Black. If you're in a tight spot you couldn't hope for a better place to start your recovery! Thank you so much! I felt full of confidence upon leaving.
