"My experience in emergency department"

About: Causeway Hospital / Accident & Emergency Causeway Hospital / X-Ray Department

(as the patient),

I work in England as a nurse and have to say how completely superb the service I received today has been.

I had a fall and injured my pride but also my foot. I realised I had done something to it as I was unable to weight bear. I went to ED at The Causeway Hospital in Coleraine. Expecting at least a four hour wait which is a good day in our local A&E dept I was so surprised that I was seen, triaged, X Ray’s and air boot fitted all within an hour and a half!

Not only that but every single member of staff showed kindness, cared and had time for me. I was so impressed. I just wish it was the same back home.

Particular thanks to Emma who was the NP.
