Our baby went for an MLB at the children’s hospital following a tough few days of being unwell with low sats and breathing issues.
ENT were great at explaining what was going to happen. Really liked the anaesthetist who was so attentive and fully explained what was going to happen. He helped us to feel less anxious at a really scary time. He continued to keep checking on us in recovery and was very knowledgable and kind. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name but he took such great care of our son so thank you so much.
I was very anxious about being in a 4-bedded room in ward 3b after in case of germs, as our wee baby was thought to have a virus. The staff explained the need to have our son in a HDU bed for monitoring and unfortunately their HDU beds are on the 4-bed bay. I apologise for being so upset about this.
Care was generally good, although staff seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. Thank you to nurse Mike for looking after our son.
