"Badly let down by service"

About: Adult Mental Health Community / Rushcliffe Local Mental Health Team (LMHT) Adult Mental Health Crisis Services / Crisis Team County South

(as a service user),

Having attempted to end my life twice in the last 3 weeks and suffering from ongoing crisis due to anti-depressant withdrawal, I was referred to the crisis team by the hospital.

The crisis team arranged a joint meeting with me and my local mental health team yesterday, to which they did not turn up with no explanation and no warning. This also meant I was left without meds - which luckily my wonderful occupational therapist was able to resolve. But not before I ended up in Benzo withdrawal as well as anti-depressant withdrawal.

Today I discover that without either seeing me or telling me, I have been discharged by the crisis team. I was told this by email when I asked what was going on.

I am autistic (which they know) so all of this uncertainty would be exceedingly disregulating, even were I not in crisis. I feel like I have basically been abandoned to kill myself. I don't know what constitutes a crisis but apparently I am not worth saving.

Dear coinkx88

My name is Sarah and I am one of the moderators at Care Opinion. We noticed you replied to the response from Nottinghamshire Healthcare with your email address so they can contact you. We are not able to publish your email on the Care Opinion website. We have therefore sent your email directly to the responder.

Update posted by coinkx88 (a service user)

I replied to the person explaining this but they have not seen fit to reply to me. There is no help for autistic people in crisis and the crisis team do not want to make the adjustments needed to make this happen.

It currently feels inevitable that I will either end up dead or in hospital. And hospital is hell for me, so I will probably die there.

I feel as though the trust asked to make contact so they could look like they cared on-line. However, a lot of their response was inaccurate, felt like gaslighting and was dismissive. I have been repeatedly rejected by the crisis service because they say they can't meet my needs" or that I need continuity of service. They say this was in agreement with my LMHT but I know that to be untrue. This to me says they can't help autistic people.

I replied to the Trust explaining this but they have not replied to me yet. There is no help for autistic people in crisis and the crisis team do not seem to want to make the adjustments needed to make this happen.
