"Staff were really caring and welcoming & put me at ease."

About: Dame Carol Detoxification Service

(as a service user),

On arrival I was really terrified and didn't want to enter the unit due to the  fear of the unknown.  Staff were really caring and welcoming which put me at ease. After staying in my room I finally got to meet the other residents which were really friendly which I have now made a good group of friend's which i will be sad to leave.

At first I was nervous to come into any group due to not knowing what to expect but after attending the first couple of sessions I understood what was going to happen I was a lot happier to join in and mix with every one else and found my self putting good input to the group.

The food was outstanding nothing was to much trouble . If you didn't like the menu the Chef would always offer something else. Alan and staff have all been amazing at anytime of the day always on hand to help with any question or queries.

Hello Melissa234,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback with regards to your treatment journey with us.

I am glad you have managed to make good friends and a good support unit from this time in DCDS. The change is always noticeable in our clients and it is very rewarding to see.

We're really thankful for your feedback, I shall pass on your kind words to the team and we wish you all the best for the future.
