About: Paediatric surgery / Children's Surgical Unit Ward 30

(as a parent/guardian),

My child was in ward 30 and he had a tonsillectomy.  I wanted to thank all the staff involved in my child's care as they were all outstanding.

This ward is very well run and it all runs like a well oiled machine. I’m super impressed and your have given such a good experience to a child going through surgery.

Ian, the anaesthetist, was absolutely amazing, as was the ENT consultant. Communication was on point and was updated by all team members.

You guys are absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work. It’s been the most pleasurable experience in a hospital setting. It’s a beautiful ward with fantastic staff who look happy to be at their work.

I just wanted you all to know an experience like this will stay with a child for life. Thank you.

He is doing so well. He has been telling his friends how friendly the staff are.

We were looked after by an amazing student called Ella we think. She was absolutely brilliant and we gave her feedback for her student book. She really went above and beyond. Such an asset.

Thanks again for all your hard work it has been such a great experience and so straightforward due to how he was cared for.
