In July 2023 I had to take my mum to hospital after a fall in the kitchen resulting in large lump on forehead. After the very long wait in A&E we were transferred to acute frailty ward to be properly checked out . This is part of A&E with view to send home. I really must say this was an excellent way of doing all checks and feeling cared for and looked after. Both for my mum and myself.
I really would suggest to the management to do more of this idea in more areas of the hospital. Although we still spent some hours in this ward it was so much more pleasant and knew what we were having done (scans) results so much quicker. This was because the gentleman in charge of ward was able to do so much more ,(writing prescription) verified by consultant who was also available to ask questions. The nursing staff were excellent and this ward is an example of how caring is given.
"Good experience "
