"Feeling well cared for"

About: Western Health & Social Care Trust / Community Footcare Services

(as a service user),

I have been availing of the podiatry services at Great James Street Health Centre in Derry for many years under the care of podiatrist Gareth . I have two tramsmetatarsal foot amputations.

A vascular crisis developed late last year and I see Gareth on a weekly basis now. He is always prepared for my visit. He is always courteous. He is always professional and knowledgeable. He treats my feet with care and diligence. He listens to my experiences and acts accordingly. His work is exemplary.

I feel well-cared for by Gareth  and greatly value his attention and the continuity of care, reassurance and sign-posting to other parts of the service.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story about the care given to you by Gareth. I am Aileen Gallagher the Podiatry Locality Manager for Foyle. I’m so pleased to hear that Gareth has continuously met your needs in a professional and courteous manner. I will make sure your feedback is passed on to Gareth. Services have been under immense pressure over the last year so receiving positive stories like this can be a real boost to staff morale working in services, so thanks again for taking the time to share your story.
