"You could tell she really cared"

About: Victoria Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

My sister was in the Maternity Ward for her planned section recently.

We were dealt with by nurse Julie. She was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and down to earth and just made my sister and myself feel so comfortable. Nothing was too much to ask and you could tell she really cared. She kept both my sister and myself updated with everything that was going on and explained what she was doing throughout and why she was doing it.

After my sister was moved to the general maternity ward from the recovery part, she was even kind enough to check in with my sister at the end of her shift and the beginning of her shift the next day. She is a credit to the NHS, it’s not often you can say that these days as unfortunately not all staff have her attitude.

After a traumatic experience with her last baby, my sister certainly had a more pleasant experience this time and felt much more happy and at ease throughout the whole process!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are extremely pleased that both you and your sisters experience was a fully informed relaxed and collaborative one. We work very hard to achieve this for all women and families. We are pleased to have this recognised.

We will ensure Julie receives this beautiful positive feedback.

Take care and thanks again
