"Their ability to communicate was exceptional"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Ambulatory Care - Medical Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

After an accident, I was taken into Craigavon Area Hospital by an ambulance. They arrived to my home very promptly and I was so impressed by the paramedics who were with me, they really made me feel at ease.

There was no waiting around once I arrived at the hospital, I was immediately placed in a cubicle where I was waiting until I was moved to ambulatory (this wasn’t a long wait). The staff in ambulatory were phenomenal also.  I was accompanied by nurses, doctors, consultants and their ability to communicate and get the job done was exceptional.

Thank you to each and every member of staff.

Good morning Katee95

I would like to begin by thanking you for taking the time to share your experience of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. It was reassuring to learn of the professionalism of the clinicians in relation to their quick response time to give immediate help, whilst being reassuring throughout to bring ease within the situation. Feedback such as this lifts the morale of the paramedics involved in what is a particularly challenging period.

I hope you are recovering well.

Best wishes

Ruairi Cummings
