About: Maternity care / 2 East Midwifery Led Unit (MLU)

(as a service user),

I want to thank the staff on MLU in CAH for the excellent care i received while on the ward. 

My midwife Eva was fantastic, she read my birth plan, listened to my preferences and helped me to trust my body to deliver my baby safely without any interventions and minimum pain relief. 

After my baby was born, she gave us time to bond and helped me with breastfeeding and baby latching on. She checked in on us regularly on her shift which was really appreciated.

I also want to thank Jeni, Hazel, Ciara and Esther who stood out while i was on the ward. They were friendly, kind and went the extra mile for anything I needed. Even though i was only there for 1 night, they took time to chat and get to know me in between their busy duties on the ward.
