"The NHSL should be immensely proud of their employees"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Scottish Ambulance Service / Patient Transport Service University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I was admitted to A&E at Monklands a couple days ago. I spent 28hours there awaiting a bed in WGH. The A+E staff were wonderful. It's hard to remember a huge amount about my stay there because I was so sore but I do know I was looked after. The paramedics who brought me there were so kind and compassionate including the ambulance staff who then transferred me to WD 15 at WGH.

I am still a current inpatient in Ward 15 in Wishaw. The staff are just utterly superb. They are kind, understanding, patient, happy and literally cannot do enough for you. These angels work so hard and it's heartbreaking because I know they're short staffed. It's lovely to see people who truly care and have immense compassion and understanding. I hate that I need help from them because they have enough to do.

The physiotherapists are wonderful, encouraging and have been so patient with me and will hopefully give me the all clear to go home tomorrow.

Your domestic staff are excellent. They have the place sparkling and they're always smiling too.

The porters who brought me to MRI are lovely and the radiology staff there are also lovely. They put me at ease the whole time.

Thank you Wishaw General for providing me with outstanding care and as much as I don't ever want to come back, if I had to, I know I would be well cared for.

The staff are immaculate in their uniforms. The NHSL should be immensely proud of their employees and I hope they know that they do their job to a high standard.
