"Therapists were really empathetic - not in a cheesy way"

About: CAMHS (Outpatient Services) / CAMHS Response Team

(as the patient),

I was feeling really sad and didn’t feel like I had energy to keep going. CAMHS helped me a lot with being honest with myself.

The therapists I saw were really empathetic but not in a cheesy way they just helped me to be seen. Sometimes I did feel misunderstood but I also think that’s because I didn’t know how to say how I truly felt with my parents being in the room at sometimes.

Although sometimes I felt some physical health doctors were abrupt and a bit forward it kind of helped me face/realise the reality of what I was going through rather than sugar coating it.
