"I’m very concerned as I no longer know what I’ve had"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

I wasn’t feeling well and my friend called 999 they transported me to Borders General Hospital,(A&E) which was great. Eventually I was transferred to ward 6, my partner came in the following day to be told I had a stroke but now was resolved, which was good to hear.

My discharge letter stated the wrong name and I had been admitted with vertigo obviously this discharge letter was not mine but on certain parts of the letter it stated my name. There was nothing to suggest I had a stroke/TIA so obviously I’m very concerned as I no longer know what I’ve had,

I’d be very grateful if you can look into this for me

Kind regards

Good afternoon Black Sheep.

Thank you for taking the time to complete care opinion. Sorry to hear about your discharge experience, for us to progress this and look into this fully it would be helpful if you could contact the patient experience team at NHS Borders for us to look into this.
