"Very kind, respectful and put me at ease"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I was very nervous, to say the least, having heard horror stories.

No need to worry, the nurses were great - very kind, respectful and put me at ease.

Dr Bishieri explained everything and did the procedure with only a little discomfort. Had to have a polyp removed but that was fine.

The 3 nurses in with me kept me chatting, which took my mind off what was happening, especially Chris, she was great!.

Everything was explained fully.

Dear Louise726

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you and thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. It is always good to hear that the team are so kind and respectful, and I am glad to read that you were kept so well informed from start to finish, and with only a little discomfort.

Our team works hard to try and minimise any worry or anxiety for their patients, and to make them feel as comfortable and informed as possible during such an invasive and intimate procedure, and they very much appreciate all feedback. I will ensure that your kind words are shared with the team, especially Mr Bishieri and Chris.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and I hope that you have a positive outcome following your procedure.

All the Best

Caroline Amukusana – Governance Lead for the Women, Children and HIV Care Group
