"Thank you for making a difficult and challenging time more bearable"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Gynaecology (Ward 49)

(as a service user),

I had surgery for endometriosis after a year and half wait . From secretary , surgical admissions , theatre teams and endo nurse specialist and consultants, nurses and Drs I can not fault the team and care and it was worth the wait .

I unfortunately became unwell and had to be readmitted and go through a 2nd diagnostic laparoscopy to access and diagnose some findings from a scan

Hearing I needed  further surgery was understandably daunting and scary but again the team were brilliant and made the experience much more bearable.

The nurses and CSWS are an asset to the NHS and the hospital and the ward manager should be proud of her workforce as they are all amazing and uphold the highest standards and quality of care and work

Thank you for making a difficult and challenging time more bearable.

The endometriosis team is worth its weight in gold, and although it's not a diagnosis I wanted, to be under their care makes me feel more confident in living with it .

Dear leatherjf49

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Care Opinion.

Thank you very much for commenting on how well the Endometriosis team met your needs during your recent episode of care whilst in Ward 49 at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. I am sorry to hear you required a second operation but it is great that you felt well supported!

I have spoken to SCN Dunn who is absolutely delighted to receive this and will share with ALL the team.

I hope you are doing well at this time and recovering from your surgeries.

Best wishes

Isabel Traynor

Lead Nurse, Gynaecology
