"Not enough physiotherapy"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Physiotherapy

(as a relative),

My wife was admitted to Queen Elizabeth hospital with headaches and dizziness.   She had  brain shunt surgery in London last year.  The surgeon in qeuh did an operation on her head and needed to replace the drain tube as it was blocked - 10/10 for neurologist and neurology department

She was moved to a medical ward for physio etc and we applied to go to the neurophysio department. She has now been in hospital for 10 weeks, getting 2 lots of physio per week, and seems to be going backwards rather than forward.  I don't feel she is getting enough physio.

Dear Giftyp46,

I am sorry to hear that your wife has been unwell and hope that she is now recovering well. I'm delighted to read that your experience within Neurology was positive and I'll feed this back to the teams.

I'm sorry to read that you're now struggling to access physiotherapy and would be keen to see if we can further investigate and resolve you're concerns.

If you'd like to contact me via e-mail or telephone we can look to see how we can help.

Kind regards,

Eilidh Gallagher,

Clinical Service Manager - Neurology
