"She makes the whole experience exciting!"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Orthoptics University Hospital Wishaw / Orthoptics

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter has been attending orthoptics clinic between university hospital Monklands and university hospital Wishaw for the last 4 years and is under the care of Dr Brown Ophthalmology.

All of the staff of this department are amazing and really take the time to go over and above for their patients. One particular member of staff Julianne really stands out and made my daughter feel so at ease and that she really cared for her. She has an excellent rapport with children and makes the whole experience exciting for the children and at the same time is able to explain thoroughly the results and plan with the parents too. My daughter had to undertake patching for 6 hours every day which is quite a challenge but Julianne was very thoughtful and caring and explained the reasons for this and why it would help and really encouraged my daughter to agree to this.

Thank you for sharing your experience while attending the NHS Lanarkshire orthoptic service with your child. I am delighted that this has been, and continues to be, a positive experience for you both. We are all appreciative of your positive feedback and I have shared this with Julianne and the team as a whole.
