"One year sober"

About: One Recovery Bucks / Aylesbury

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

 I am now 1 year sober.

This has been a journey that has been made easier than I thought it would be because of ORB and the amazing staff they have. Each and every member of staff are so understanding and committed in their roles and understand everybody's needs and issues

During my recovery, I was asked if I wanted to be a Peer Mentor. This I have now achieved and now I try and mentor as much as I can in the Recovery Café on a Friday lunch time where I also catch up weekly with my support worker because she cooks dinner there (very nice it is too)

So here is to the next 12 months. One happy client of One Recovery Bucks

Good Afternoon,

We are so glad to hear your story about the journey of recovery you have been on for a year with us. Thank you also for volunteering to help others with their own journeys. Our peer mentors are such an important part of our service, providing an insight into recovery and hope for the future to those still in the midst of their own journey. Hearing how every member of staff you have encountered has supported you along the way is testament to our dedication to help those who want to address their substance use. We are also pleased you enjoy the food in our Recovery Cafe! If we can make any improvements at all please let us know.
