"Rehabilitation after heart attack and stroke"

About: Causeway Hospital / Coronary Care/Medical Monitoring Unit Causeway Hospital / Medical 1 Causeway Hospital / Stroke rehabilitation Whiteabbey Hospital / Ward 3 Rehabilitation Unit

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Getting to the hospital fast was a priority for me. I was admitted firstly to the stroke ward, moved to medical. When the medical team discovered what was wrong, I was moved to Coronary Care, where I spent a number of days.

From Coronary Care in the Causeway, to Whiteabbey Hospital for rehabilitation. The teams immediately started Physio, the Occupational Therapists started their rehabilitation with me, all this has been very beneficial already.

The staff have been caring, attentive and helpful.

I still require ongoing assistance.
