"Rehabilitation at Whiteabbey"

About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Ward 3 Rehabilitation Unit

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I fell at home. I Was taken by ambulance to (AAH), where I stayed for one week. Onto Whiteabbey for rehab, as I had fractured my pelvis and wrist. The Physiotherapists Neil and Joanne were exceptional, on helping and encouraging me get back on my feet and moving again.

I did not realise how much and how important the role is of the Occupational Therapists is, in helping me to prepare for my journey home.

I appreciated the companion on the ward and all the work carried out by the companion.

I do feel the ward was understaffed, as it took ages before staff came to take me to the bathroom.
