Hi there,

I’ve booked an appointment to get the second dose of the Hep A vaccine over the phone. Upon arrival at the practice, the nurse realised that the vaccine had not been requested and therefore I turned up for no reason.

Thank you for your feedback and am sorry that you were unable to have your vaccination and any inconvenience caused.

We do not stock any travel vaccinations but instead issue a prescription for the travel vaccinations we can provide at the surgery to be ordered by you from your chosen pharmacy and brought with you to your appointment with the nurse.

Please contact the practice manager who can help you arrange your second hepatitis A vaccination. It would also help us to learn how to avoid this happening again and if any staff training is needed. We do allow directly bookable nurse appointments and will review how travel vaccinations are booked.
