Myself and my son have had the most incredible experience from Bellshill Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) services.

After having to go private to fix my sons hearing impairment and an email from myself requesting services, the manager reached out and offered her services to us.

It was such an eye opener for us as previously we'd felt therapists had labelled him and they didn't feel SLT would be beneficial but we felt so validated and respected this time.

He has made incredible progress in the short space of time we had between his operation and starting school! Between having lots of infections, not always feeling his best and getting ready to start school it wasn't without its challenges but he was given time and patience and came to adore his therapist.

We are all so grateful as a family that she took a leap of faith and understood a mothers instinct is always right. I cannot thank his therapist enough and I hope that one day we'll meet again so she can see the progress he's made upon the foundations she built for him.

Thank you for taking the time to write your comments regarding your experience of working with a member of the Bellshill Speech and Language Therapy Team.

It is very pleasing to hear that you have such a positive and rewarding experience working with this member of the team. From your comments is sounds like your son has made great progress and I do hope he continues to do so, as you say building on the foundations developed with the Therapist.

I would like to ask if you could confirm the name of the Therapist so that I can share your comments with them.

Hi Christine,

I'm so sorry - I couldn't remember if I could use names on here or not! Coral was his therapist, she really is amazing.

Thank you for confirming it was Coral you were working with at Bellshill. I was pretty sure that who you were referring to but just wanted to check with you. It is absolutely fine to name the therapist here.
