I have been under investigation for ages due to abnormal bleeding for months on end. Went for ultrasounds, smears etc. I also had a biopsy of my womb at Solihull women’s hospital, which was bearable. However, it came back I had endometrial/uterine polyps.
I got sent to heartlands Gyno for a hysteroscopy. I found the doctor very blunt and not caring or reassuring. I wasn’t told I was having another biopsy at the time. They flushed the water into my tubes etc. and went in with the camera. I was watching it on the screen - well trying to. They said if it hurts too much say stop and they would stop. I cried and shouted for them to stop to which they said they were almost done. I could see the openings to my fallopian tubes.
I was then told they would also like to take another biopsy whilst it was inside already about to take it. I had a biopsy before and had never felt pain like this. It’s left me curled over in agony for at least 5 hours. I do not trust in health professional to deal with my Gyno issues. I felt violated.
"Painful biopsy."
