"A very well oiled machine"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Medical Initial Assessment

(as a service user),

After an emergency doctors appointment I was sent to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and admitted to ward 101.

I can only describe ward 101 as a very well oiled machine, everything just ran smoothly. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left I was treated with courtesy, I was kept informed of what was happening and all the staff were friendly and cheerful.

The Doctor that treated me was called Caitlin, but unfortunately I was just too sleep deprived to remember the names of any of the other staff.

I was given full blood tests, an ECG, a CT and a chest X ray within a few short hours with very little waiting around and the surroundings were comfortable.

I was very impressed with my experience, it makes you proud of our NHS.

Dear Mikcr34,

Many thanks for taking the time to write in about your experience in Ward 101 and your lovely comments. I will ensure this is shared with the team and know how much it will mean to them.

I hope you are feeling better and recovering well

Julie
