I arrived at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy by ambulance I can honestly say that the crew were gentle and kind. Although I was in pain I was happy and I did feel secure in their care. The ambulance crew really did put me at ease.
I was eventually transferred to Ward 9 Rapid Assessment Discharge Ward I was given a bed within a bay of four beds and I can say that it is really good to be able to chat to other patients.
The staff all seem very busy and are all very pleasant. All staff are so attentive and will assist with showering whenever it is suitable for me.
I had a male nurse assist me with showering and he was excellent.
On arrival at the ward I found all the staff to be friendly and always joking this made me feel very settled in Ward 9.
One think I am not impressed with is the toilet that I have to use, I Know this is no fault of the nursing staff but it really needs upgrading.
The bed is excellent, very comfortable and I have good storage space here.
To be quite honest the food is good and the menu choice is excellent.
The care I have received is very good
I had to have a plaster cast changed it feels more comfortable now The gentleman who changed it spoke to me throughout the procedure and made sure everything was done properly.
Overall my care has been excellent.
"Overall my care has been excellent"
