"Out of Hours Care"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / GP Out of Hours NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a relative),

I had to use NHS24 for an elderly relative.  In short the turn around from initial call with waiting times to OOHs phoning then obtaining a prescription was 4 hours.  On a Sunday afternoon.  I was impressed.  

Given the current situation the NHS is in just now it is clear people and services are pushing on with patient care.  From the Call Handler (Mark), to the Nurse (Elaine) to the male GP who called from Stirling OOHs they were all pleasant, professional and caring.  Thanks

Thank you so much for such positive feedback on your experience of calling 111 and the care provided by NHS Forth Valley Out of Hours Service. This is fantastic to see. To be assessed by NHS 24, referred to the Out of Hours and have a prescription with four hours on a Sunday afternoon is indeed impressive. A perfect example of seamless patient care. I hope you are doing so much better.
