"Child getting tonsils and adenoids removed"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Ear, Nose & Throat (ward 3b) Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatric surgery ( Wards 3A & 3B)

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter (3) was in the hospital to get her tonsils and adenoids removed. All the nurses made my daughter feel at ease from the moment she walked through the door to the moment we left. Everyone was so kind to her, she can be shy but did speak to the staff when they asked her questions, gave her her medication and let them do her bp and temperature without any fuss. They told her how brave she was. Nothing was a problem even during the night when he monitor alarms were going off they reassured me everything was fine with her, a student nurse was very kind and checked on her a lot during the night which I appreciated.

Dear Aliciavc23,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am glad to hear your daughter has now had the surgery she required and I hope she is recovering well at home.

It was so pleasant to read the way you described the staff as kind and how during your stay the staff were reassuring to yourself and helped your daughter feel at ease.

It means so much to our teams to know they are making a positive difference to the children and families in our care and I will ensure this fantastic feedback reaches the staff involved.

Many thanks

Emma McGinlay
