"Obstetric appointment"

About: Warrington Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I was waiting for almost 2.5 hours after my appointment time before I was seen. I asked at reception whether I'd been missed after 1 hour of waiting to be told that they were running late by 1.5 hours (there was no mention of this when I arrived). For someone who is almost 9 months pregnant to have to wait that long (without communication) in a hot room I feel is unacceptable.

When I was seen for the appointment I found the consultant to be dismissive of my concerns and used upsetting language around the health of my baby.

Good Afternoon,

We are really sorry to read about your experience at your appointment and would ask that you contact our PALS Team (patient advice and liaison team). They will take further details and then liaise with the department on your behalf to feedback your experience. Your feedback is important to us, so that we can learn from it.

Their contact details are whh.pals@nhs.net or call 01925 275512.

Regards

Gina
