"Person centred care"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency Control

(as a relative),

I just wanted to pass on my sincere compliments on behalf of myself and my mother last week when she had to attend A and E by ambulance after suffering a health scare. The ambulance personnel at the house were exemplary, ambulance triage area was efficient and very person centred. All the Team were fantastic and mum was admitted for the night to ensure all the necessary tests could be done.

She was an outlier in the yellow zone and the care she received when there was fantastic. A great example of a service under pressure staying very person centred. Mum was discharged the following day and had nothing but compliments about her experience as a lady in her nineties. Thank you everyone.

Good afternoon Owerj44

I am grateful to you for taking the time to share your experiences of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. It was reassuring to learn of the professionalism of the paramedics who attended to the call to ensure that immediate medical attention was administered so that your mother could be brought for further treatment at Craigavon Area Hospital. Your kind words will not go unheard. As an organisation we are committed to consistently show compassion, professionalism and respect for the patients we care for.

It is very much encouraging to hear of your mothers discharge from hospital and I hope that she is still recovering in good health.

Best wishes

Ruairi Cummings
