"The care I received was outstanding"

I was a patient in level 2, Outpatients, for a gynae day procedure. The care I received by all the team from start to finish was outstanding. Led with compassionate care, they communicated clearly, identified themselves and their roles, what was going to happen, provided opportunities throughout my stay for questions to be answered directly by the clinical team, reassured me immediately before  the general anaesthetic was administered and  offered choice re pain relief with close monitoring post surgery.

The team -  Nathan (ST Doctor), S/N Stacey (on the ward), Dr Harper, Dr Bell and S/N Karen (recovery) - should be commended for their professionalism individually, but raised as an exemplar of how clinical teams should offer holistic care with the patient at the centre.
