"Planned surgery and overnight"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / 23 Hour Unit ( Ward 1A)

(as a parent/guardian),

Just a quick note to say how lovely I found all the staff in ward 1A. I recently brought my daughter in for a planned surgery. She has a complex history/background and the staff happily allowed me to lead the care touching base as needed. It was a lovely welcoming environment and no job was too big or small. From domestics, HSW, nurses and clarkess everyone was lovely!

Well done!

Dear utterly disappointed,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am glad to hear your daughter has had the required surgery and I hope she is recovering well at home.

It was very pleasant to read that you felt the staff and environment to be welcoming and lovely and that the staff allowed you to lead your daughters care while providing the support you required during your stay with us.

It means so much to our teams to know that they are making a positive difference to the children and families in our care and I will ensure this fantastic feedback reaches the staff involved.

Many thanks

Emma McGinlay
