"All of the staff are friendly and helpful"

At first I didn’t understand why I was going to Letham. Then it was explained to me they can help me get back home. All of the staff are friendly and helpful on the ward.

Whilst I was there the weather was lovely and I was encouraged to go outside, which I was not too keen on as I had not been out in a long time. The activities coordinator helped me feel better about me going outside, she encouraged me to help water the the plants and do some dead heading. By the end I didn’t want to go back inside and I have decided to work on some plant pots at home.

The physiotherapy had me on my feet very quickly and back to being independent. The staff were knowledgeable about rehabilitation, which helped a lot.

The food was good. I never went hungry and we always had teas, coffees juice etc. My family were always made to feel welcome, too. I really liked the ward, but hopefully never have to go back.
