I arrived at the Day Intervention Unit of Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy early this morning. I was aware of what was going to happen as I had received leaflets through the post explaining everything to me. I felt I had had quite sufficient prior knowledge
It was quite difficult to get a parking space, however when I got to the Day Intervention reception I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist.
I was then taken by the admissions staff and led into the consulting room to discuss the procedure. I had no worries at all with this.
I waited in a small waiting room prior to going to endoscopy.
I felt fully prepared for the procedure and staff were talkative during the procedure and this put me at ease.
In the recovery staff have had brief discussion with me and overall the experience has been fine.
"I was fully prepared for the procedure"
