After having my first baby and a positive birth experience at the midwife unit at the Royal Alexandria Hospital, I was keen to have my second baby under the care of my local midwives at the Vale of Leven community midwife unit.
Despite being busy for antenatal appointments and care, very few births now happen here, but I can’t speak highly enough of them.
A huge thank you to midwives Kerry and Kirsty who helped deliver our little boy in a relaxed and professional manner, which meant I could have the pool birth I’d hoped for.
The rest of the team at the unit including Leslie, Sarah, Irene and others are also super reassuring and supportive, creating a lovely environment to visit along the way, and eventually give birth in. I can’t sing their praises enough and wanted to share our experience.
"Amazing maternity service and care"
