"Special Thank you"

About: Frimley Park Hospital / Pain Management

(as the patient),

Last year you published a very critical report on my behalf, when I spoke about treatment I received while attending a hospital appointment.

I must not ignore the opportunity to give credit and thanks to the Pain Clinic Team at Frimley Park Hospital. Last week I attended an appointment at Day Surgery One for a pain relief procedure. I have huge mobility problems. The whole day I was given kindness, care and understanding; from being collected by patient transport, to being transported back home again at the end of the day.

I want to say a very special thank you to two special doctors, namely Valerie  and Bernard  Their help, kindness and caring has given me the confidence to go ahead with a much needed hip replacement surgery. Most importantly, they were prepared to listen to what I had to say. I wasn't just dismissed.

Dear Elderly in Pain,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share the story of your recent experience in DSU 1 at Frimley Park Hospital.

It is lovely and reassuring to know that you were so well looked after by the teams responsible for your care.

I will share your feedback with the teams involved who will, I know, appreciate knowing how much their care meant to you.
