I have been fortunate in life not to have experienced a serious illness until now, and so my care throughout this current journey has no comparison. Having said that, I have been so pleased with the unbelievable care all the medical professionals I have encountered have provided.
I am sorry that I cannot remember all their names, but from my first recall mammogram, radiographers, nurses and doctors in Ayrshire Central have been so helpful and caring.
My journey then took me to Crosshouse Hospital where my great care continued. Miss Tovey and her team helped me understand what lay ahead. She and the breast care nurses explained everything good and bad that may happen. All eventualities were covered.
My operation was very well organised. I always felt that I was in safe hands. Also at every turn being asked if I understood or wished to ask any questions left me without the fear of the unknown.
As I have had a very good experience under the breast cancer care that was provided by Ayrshire and Arran, I honestly cannot think of any improvements you could put in place.
I may have been unfortunate to contract breast cancer but I honestly feel blessed to have received the care which the Ayrshire and Arran Breast Cancer team provides.
Thank you all so much.
"A very good experience"
