"Writing in is not always convenient"

About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as a service user),

I've been told in the past that the only way I can contact the practice manager is by writing in. That is not always convenient especially if it's a simple request. I've asked the staff to remove an item from my prescription list at least 4 times over the last 3 years. I received this item once, at most twice, back in 2019-2020. It's still on my repeat items list!

Dear Hari567

I am sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your GP Practice and that you can only contact the Practice Manager in writing. GP practices in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde operate their own feedback and complaints systems and, unfortunately are not registered to respond to feedback received via Care Opinion.

The Patient Advice and Support Service (PASS) may be able to support you with this issue. This is an independent and confidential organisation. PASS can help you give feedback, raise concerns or make a complaint about any health service, including GP practices.

You can contact PASS on 0800 917 2127 or visit their website at Patient Advice & Support Service | Citizens Advice Scotland (cas.org.uk).

Thank you

Nicole
