My son has had ongoing medical problems from a young age. Many have not been picked up for various reasons. Eventually we had a referral (one of many) that led us to the Occupational therapy department with appointments at Stirling hospital.
The assessment and care from the OT were exceptional. She has maintained contact throughout, been willing to answer any and all extra questions. Explained everything she was testing for, what it meant and what advice would help, and relayed this to school as well as referring us on to physiotherapy. She spoke to our son in a grown up but age appropriate manner, and explained everything to him in an age appropriate way, and has even followed up with us to make sure we are happy with his care and check if we needed anything else.
She has been a wonderful help, and cannot praise her or the OT team enough.
