"Admission to hospital from GP surgery"

About: General practices in Tayside Ninewells Hospital / Plastic Surgery & Burns

(as the patient),

Attended GP as thought would need antibiotics for infected finger.

GP advised that would need review in hospital by plastics.

Attended hospital and remained as an inpatient for 24 hours, for IV antibiotics and possible surgery.

Really happy with all care received. From arrival at GP surgery to discharge from hospital all staff were very kind and kept me updated every step of the way.

Cannot thank them enough

Dear Thorn49

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your infected finger and the efficient and effective course of action taken by your GP. Feedback is very valuable to all areas of the NHS, and I'm sure your GP practice will be delighted to hear that your experience has been positive. As each GP Practice is an independent business, we would recommend that you feedback your experience directly to the practice so that this can be passed on to the staff. The Practice Manager can give you with details of how to provide this feedback to them, as per their Complaints and Feedback Policy.

I hope you're now making a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

Victoria
