My care overall has been okay here in the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy, I am currently in Ward 9 Rapid Assessment Discharge.
When I arrived I was in a lot of pain and was given pain relief tablets and a spray for my mouth. Thankfully the pain eventually got better.
The staff were all very nice.
I don't like hospitals at all, I actually do not like being away form home. I have been very anxious but I feel the staff just take things as they come this does bring some comfort to me.
The staff are very encouraging they have allowed and encouraged me to do things that I just thought I couldn't do. I really thought I wouldn't make it to the toilet on my own but the nurses have encouraged me to do this and I feel so much more independent.
I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to mobilise as much as I wanted to. being mobile is very important to me but the nurses are keeping me on track and I feel I can approach them at any time if I am in doubt or have any questions.
The staff are really quite down to earth, I didn't know what to expect due to previous hospital experiences.
In Ward 9 the staff have all been really nice to me and the experience has been so much better than I had thought it would be.
This has resulted in me being reassured further about hospital and that it can be a good experience.
"The staff are encouraging"
