I arrived at the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy by ambulance, it was an emergency as I had had a fall
From the onset all staff at the hospital were very sympathetic and caring, I think the hospital is a great place when you need it.
I was given time to share and explain my pain with the Doctors and nurses and this made me feel so much better that they were listening and understanding me. I was given pain relief and this made me feel much better easing the pain.
I was transferred into Ward 6 Supported Discharge Hub and am quite impressed with the way the patient bays are set out. There are 3 beds in this bay but I still feel I have privacy which is important to me.
The nurses are continually coming in here to check on me and I do feel I can ask questions if I need to.
All of the medical and nursing specialists in the Victoria hospital have been very good and I have been relaxed during this whole situation.
In my opinion I have been well cared for in this hospital.
Regarding the food it has been very good, lovely, all good. I have no complaints at all about food or drinks and tea is always offered by the nurses throughout the day.
The showering facilities are good I don't always need support but I know that if I do need any help that staff will willingly come and support me.
I am really getting a great sleep in this ward, sleeping right through the night with no interruption's at all
My stay in hospital has almost been a delight, The care in the Victoria Hospital has been very good and all staff I have met have been sympathetic and caring
