"Providing the best care and comfort"

About: The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73)

(as a relative),

I’d just like to say a massive thanks to all the staff (midwives, doctors and paediatricians) who looked after my wife and our new born and myself.

We were on ward 68 for 5 days receiving care for our little one and could not believe the efforts the staff go to. Each and every midwife was welcoming, smiling, attentive, knowledgeable…. The list goes on.

After finding out our child needed to be put on a UV blanket and receive antibiotics the midwives ensured my wife was doing ok throughout her stay as well as provide the best care and comfort for our boy.

I hope this message finds its way to ward 68 and the staff get the recognition they thoroughly deserve.

Can’t thank you all enough for your hard work, I admire you so much

Dear victorth38,

Congratulations on the birth of your child. I hope your wife and son are doing well and you are all settling into family life. It is great you have taken time to give us your feedback. I will gladly share this with the staff on ward 68, both midwifery and medical but will also share with our neonatal colleagues who were also involved in your son's care.

Best wishes to you all,

Tracy Orr

Lead Midwife
